National Runway Cycling & Skating. June 21, 2009.

Organised by SAFRA, the NRWCS is an annual event that has seen throngs of cycling and skating enthusiasts participating. This year, an amazing 109 students from all three batches of AMS took part. Some brought their own bikes, others their rollerblades. Someone even brought a skateboard to take part in the 15km route!

Held at Paya Lebar Air Base, our students had to wake up early to make it for the 8am flag-off. After the completing the route, everyone was entertained by cheerleading performances, a hip hop performance by SLEEQ and many more.

Enjoy the photos!

AMS won the 'Largest Group Contest' this year with a whopping 109 participants.

SADEAF Walkathon & Pertapis Golf Tournament

SADeaf Walkathon

28 March 2009. Students from AMS Year 2 participated in a Walkathon organized by the Singapore Association for the Deaf. The walk spanned 4 km starting from SADeaf's building and ran all the way to the Esplanade with a mission of raising funds to support the SADeaf's essential programmes. Students were stationed at various points along the route to facilitate the event and to direct participants along the right path. Stationed at the Esplanade were students from AMS too, to help guide finishers of the walkathon towards shuttle buses or refreshments.

Pertapis Golf Tournament

9th April 2009. AMS Year 2 students participated in an event organised by Pertapis called the Pertapis "Swing for Hope" Charity Golf. Students were required to man booths, usher or go out to the course to do measurements. The event was organised for people who are interested in paying to play golf, and funds generated went to Pertapis, a voluntary welfare organisation.

AMS Freshmen Orientation Camp 09/10 - CAMP SKY HIGH

Hi everyone.

Just over a week ago, AMS had its very own orientation camp for the current Year 1s. Organised and run by the Year 2s - with the help of some Year 3s and of course, the lecturers - the 2D1N camp held last Friday proved to be a success.

Over the course of the two days, students went through team-building games, had sneak peeks of AMS internships and had their fair share of fun during the wet games. The camp not only allowed for bonding between the four Year 1 classes, it also gave them a chance to meet and make friends with the seniors.

On behalf of all the organisers of the camp, I would like to thank all the Year 1s who took part in the camp and all the helpers who came down to support us. The camp couldn't have been such a success without all your efforts.

Here are some of the photos from the camp:
