Hi everyone.
A day before the Temasek Polytechnic Open House on the 8th, the cohort had a mini gathering at the Officers' Mess at the Air Force Museum. Being 1st time in an Officers' Mess, the gathering was considered to be an eye-opener for everyone. The Reception was organised by the lecturers for the students for the excellent work in the past year and motivation for all in the year to come, especially then-Open House and JAE.
The reception was declared by Mr Paul Yap, Course Manager of AMS and A token of Appreciation was presented to Ex-Course Manager, Mr Chan Kim Kai for his dedication of bringing up AMS from a little course to what we are now.
Another token of appreciation was presented to the 2nd BlackBox Committee for their hardwork during their term of service. The AMS logo and the course tee were also launched during the Reception.
After the reception, the students were treated to a guided tour by the guides at the Air Force Museum which they enjoyed very much.
There are some of the pics from the site ... Enjoy :)
Signing off at Air Force Museum ...
Keep out for more updates!
Till next time :)

ONLY SEVEN HOURS LEFT TILL JAE IS OVER!
So here are seven reasons summarising why your first choice should be the Diploma in Aviation Management & Services, T04!
---------
1. A Team of Dedicated Lecturers - Where would we be without all the dedication and commitment of our lecturers? Often going out of the way just to assist us, much of the success of the diploma has to be credited to them!
Never faltering, the dedication of our very own AMS lecturers has been the motivation for all AMS students to continue our pursuit for the best!
2. Advanced Standing at Top Aeronautical University - Attaining a degree from a top-notch university highly-recognised in the aviation industry, being taught by professionals from overseas from the comfort of Singapore's shores, receiving exemptions from 2 years of their degree programme.
What could be better than that?
The through-train programme we're working towards in partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is truly a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed!
3. Exciting Internships - Airport operations, cabin crew, regulatory bodies, airlines and ground handling companies - the list of internship possibilities seems never ending! There's nothing more satisfying than being in an internship where you get to put the skills and knowledge you've been acquiring all this time to good use.
&Internships with AMS ensures that very gratification!
4. Vast range of Career Prospects - Your part in the aviation industry does not end the moment your 3-year stint with AMS is over. AMS is where aviation lovers start their journey. With the anticipated growth of the aviation and tourism industry coupled with good qualifications and the long list of career opportunities, AMS graduates have absolutely no need to worry!
5. Hands-on Experiences - Often having to meet industry experts, the valuable experiences they share would be of great use to you! &As much as possible, we try to have hands-on experiences to prepare AMS students for the working world.
6. Work Hard, Play Harder - Despite all the projects, meetings, assignments and presentations, AMS students and lecturers make it a point to enjoy their lives. With all the events and outings, there has never been a dull moment in AMS!
7. Friendly Seniors - From orientation to camps, meetings to outings, these are the people that would be by your side helping you cope with the changes in your school life. The very same ones teaching you the ropes on scoring well in AMS, the ones giving you hints on which canteen serves the best food.
And while they've been missing from the tagboard for quite a while, I'm sure many of the other Year 1s can agree with me that our AMS seniors are the best! And we happen to be thick-skinned enough to admit that we'll be YOUR favourite seniors too! (:

Experience the full joy of flying. Start with a flight around your local airport, including take-off and landing. Fly circuits to sharpen your skills or navigate your way to a nearby regional airport. Early last year, all the Year 1s got the chance to sit in the cockpit of a jet aircraft simulator. We got to apply concepts like theories of flights and make use of all the navigational aids, just like a real pilot!

The Course
So what are you WAITING for?
JOIN AVIATION MANAGEMENT &SERVICES!
&BE PART OF THE GROWING INDUSTRY!
Unparelled views of the world come rarely.AMS has truly given me the chance to see things from an aviator's viewpoint; a true master of the sky. From the cockpit to the control tower, AMS shows u everything there is to see about the aviation world. Highly recommended to anyone with even a slight interest in the air above the world..Come see us at the open house!
“What is your passion?” For me, my passion lies in aviation and AMS gave me the perfect platform to explore this passion. From the video, I’m sure you can tell that I love the thought of being able to fly (in a plane, of course!). This course also gives us the opportunity to learn on the different components that makes commercial flights possible.
Learning is made much more enjoyable with our great bunch of lecturers. They are simply the best! Honestly speaking, I cannot imagine myself studying elsewhere with a better diploma programme, taught by a better team of lecturers, in a better environment. This is where I wanna be and I am glad I had chosen this path.
AMS as your first choice? You betcha!

"Flying is the second greatest thrill known to man. Landing is the first!Well, I never really understood that before I learned to fly. And yes, I do miss my flying days. And landings in faraway places. The challenge and achievement of landing an aircraft is one that balances innumerable factors. You just have to be in the seat to really understand what it's like! In fact, it's pretty much like bringing a class through in AMS. It's partly a flight experience, a very positive one.And I realised nothing is more enriching for me, than having the opportunity to share those experiences and feelings with my students. I am truly blessed - for the opportunities that I've had. And for all the experiences to come at AMS.Come and experience it all, here at AMS."
"I’ve always wanted to be part of the aviation industry ever since I was a young boy.I used to really enjoy watching planes near the airport and when I realised that Temasek Polytechnic had set up a diploma in Aviation Management and Services, I knew that this was the place for me!Aviation Management and Services by far has provided me with in-depth knowledge in aviation and I’m confident that this course will provide me with more knowledge and keep me occupied with more fun-filled activities in the coming years."
